Before You Book
Helpful details before your appointment
A little guidance up front makes the visit easier for both patients and reception.
When booking with reception
• Let the team know if you need a longer appointment or have more than one concern to discuss. • If you are unsure which doctor to see, reception can help you choose based on availability and the reason for your visit. • Use the doctors page if you want a feel for each GP’s background and interests before booking.
Useful things to have ready
• Your Medicare details and any concession cards if relevant. • A clear summary of new symptoms, medication changes or questions you want covered. • Any referral letters, specialist information or previous results you want the GP to review.
Emergencies
If you or someone with you is experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 immediately. For after-hours medical assistance, contact Batemans Bay Hospital on (02) 4475 1500.
