Has been practicing medicine at Batemans Bay since 1975 after graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1972. His special interests include pediatrics, anesthesia, women’s health, minor surgery, men’s health, preventative care and skin cancers.

Dr. Himmat Moond

Graduated from university in India in 2007 with the qualifications MBBS, DCH. After he moved to Australia and cleared his exams, he commenced work in Westmead, Blacktown and Auburn Hospitals in Sydney. Dr Moond moved to Batemans Bay early in 2014 and his interests are in respiratory and cardiology, aged care, skin cancer detection and management, women’s health and pediatrics.

Dr. Haroon Younas

Graduated 2008 in Pakistan MBBS. He has worked in renal medicine and intensive medicine in Pakistan. He has also worked in emergency and rural medicine in Queensland, and intensive care, anesthetics and emergency medicine in Sydney. Dr Younas has special interests in rural and remote medicine, emergency medicine, critical care and retrieval medicine. Dr Younas joined Batemans Bay Medical Centre in 2020.

Dr. Stuti Joshi

Graduated from university in India in 2007; her qualifications are MBBS, DCH. After moving to Australia, she cleared the Australia Medical Council exams and commenced work in John Hunter and the Mater Hospitals in New Castle, and then moved to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney before moving to Batemans Bay. Dr Joshi has an interest in women’s health, pediatrics, aged care, general medicine, skin cancers and mental health.

In 2005 I Graduated from the University of Colombo, Faculty of Medicine (UCFM), Sri Lanka where I then worked for a couple of years. I then decided to emigrate to Australia and my family and I spent over four years in Tasmania. I worked in hospitals and then in general practice throughout different regions including the North West and Hobart.

Dr Anil Goudar

Dr Goudar specialises in the treatment and management of lower limb conditions of the hip, knee, foot and ankle. He is a fellow of Royal Australian college of surgeons and also a member of Australian orthopaedic association.

He has fellowship training in Hip and knee joint Replacement surgery, foot and ankle surgery and bone and soft tissue tumours. His special interest and expertise include hip and knee joint replacement surgery, ACL reconstruction, foot and ankle reconstruction and arthroscopy of the knee and ankle.

Locally based in the Illawarra and the Shoalhaven area since 2016, Dr Goudar has formed trusting relationships with his patients, dedicated to providing them with comprehensive orthopaedic services. He also provides consulting and surgical services at Nowra and Shellharbour and has a VMO appointment at Wollongong Hospital.

Dr Ahmed Khan

Dr Ahmed Khan is an Australian-trained Interventional Cardiologist, who specialises in all aspects of interventional cardiology including FFR, IVUS and OCT.

His special interest is in ischaemic heart disease, Hypertension, Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation.

His philosophy is one of constant refinement and excellence in all aspects of a patient’s cardiovascular care, including assessment and management, coronary intervention, cardiac rehabilitation, and maintaining and applying the most up-to-date knowledge of current developments and technology.

Dr Khan grew up in Pakistan, Studied medicine at the University of Karachi. After graduating in 2000, he completed his residency at Aga khan University Hospital.

Dr Khan completed his specialist Cardiology training in 2012, gaining him FRACP from Royal Australasian College of Physician.

In 2013, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from Canberra hospital.

In 2014, Dr khan completed a second year fellowship in Interventional cardiology at the Fremantle hospital.

Dr Khan is a member of several societies of cardiology, and frequently travels both locally and internationally to keep abreast of new developments and techniques in Interventional cardiology that might benefit his patients. He has a particular focus on using FFR guided PCI.

Dr Khan currently works as a Consultant Interventional Cardiolgist at Heart Of Canberra, Deakin.

Dr Ronak Patel

MBBS, AMC, Cert (Clin Epi), FRACP

Dr Ronak Patel is a Consultant Neurologist at Calvary Public Hospital, Bruce. He completed his medical training from India and subsequently completed postgraduate (FRACP) training in Neurology at John Hunter Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. He pursued Stroke and Neurovascular fellowship at Calvary Public Hospital where he is appointed as a consultant Neurologist. Apart from Stroke, has developed interest in Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons disease, headaches/migraines and other neurological disorders.

Dr Patel is a member various organisations including Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN), American Academy of Neurologists (AAN) and European Academy of Neurology (EAN). He is Fellow at Australasian Stroke Academy and is a member of World Stroke Organisation (WSO), Stroke Society of Australasia (SSA) and American Stroke Association (ASA). Dr Patel is a member of Australia New Zealand Headache society (ANZHS) and sees all headache patients and runs Botox service.

He runs neurology clinics at Calvary Public Hospital and Calvary Private Clinic. He chairs Calvary Public Hospital Neurology Research Group and has recently been appointed as chair of GCTC committee, Calvary Public Hospital. He is passionate about delivering best possible care to his patients and ensures that his patients are well informed and educated about their treatment plan.

Dr Patel is equally passionate about teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate and is a clinical Lecturer at the Australian National University. He is also an Educational Supervisor and a Professional Development Advisor for physician trainee registrars at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
